FREKUENSI PENGGUNAAN SMARTPHONE UNTUK TUJUAN BELAJAR BAHASA INGGRIS PADA MAHASISWA STMA TRISAKTI SEMESTER PERTAMA

This study aims to determine the frequency of using smartphones for the purpose of learning English in the first semester of STMA Trisakti students by using quantitative research methods that are descriptive and comparative by distributing questionnaires to 60 first semester students of STMA Trisakti. The results of the study show that the first semester of STMA TRISAKTI students have a high interest in using the basic functions of smartphones as an English learning tool, as evidenced: 50 respondents or 83% use smartphones, 58 respondents or 96.28% use Music Player (listening to songs in English). English), 51 respondents or 84, 66% watched videos in English, and 41 respondents or 68.06% used a camera (making photos and uploading them on social media with comments in English).
