Abstract

The main purpose of this study is to describe the internalization of language politeness in the morning class and evening class in the Indonesian language course. This study uses a qualitative research design with data in the form of speech expressed by MKU Indonesian students both orally and in writing. The politeness observance of the evening class is the obedience of agreement, rather than feeling, and approval, while the politeness of the morning class is the obedience of agreement, rather than feeling, and sympathy. For language politeness violations committed by afternoon class students were violations of politeness in the thimble of courtesy, thimble of sympathy, and thimble of humility, while what was done by morning class students were violations of thimble rather than feeling, thimble of humility, and thimble of kindness.
