ANALISIS KEBUTUHAN GURU TERHADAP PENGEMBANGAN MODUL AJAR IPA KELAS IV BERBASIS KONTEKSTUAL TERINTEGRASI KEARIFAN LOKAL TORAJA

Abstract


The independent curriculum gives teachers the flexibility to adapt their instruction to the requirements and learning environment of their pupils. The program includes instructional modules as one of its parts. Teachers should incorporate local knowledge from the area into their modules. Therefore, research is done to examine the demands of teachers about the construction of contextual-based Grade IV Science teaching modules integrated with local wisdom in order to build a module integrated with Toraja local wisdom. A preliminary investigation is conducted for the research using descriptive research methods. Interviews and observations are used to gather data. According to the research's findings, the instructional materials currently being used by teachers do not match the learning objectives with the learning outcomes. Observations also show that Toraja's traditional knowledge has not been included in the teacher's lesson plans. Therefore, it is essential to create science teaching modules for grade four that are focused on contextual learning that is combined with local knowledge. These instructional materials are not only crucial for the learning process in the classroom but may also educate students about Indonesian culture, particularly Toraja culture, strengthening their passion for the country and inspiring them to protect their culture.
