Parenting applied will be used as a model by the child to interact with the surrounding environment. The inappropriate parenting pattern applied by the parent will create an unpleasant situation for the child and this triggers a child's distorted reaction or behavior to his or her surroundings. If the unfamiliar family atmosphere continues, then any child's behavior will be trapped in the absorption of deviant values and deeds such as aggressive behavior. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlates of parenting patterns with students aggressive behavior in SMPN 9 Metro. Research design is a correlational with the population covering all students of SMP Negeri 9 Metro Academic Year 2017/2018 with a sample of 90 samples. Data collection using questionnaires that have been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis using product moment correlation analysis. The results showed that there is a significant corelation between Parenting patterns with aggressive behavior of students in SMPN 9 Metro. This is indicated by the acquisition value of correlation coefficient significance 0,819 with a probability (sign) of 0,000. At 5% significance level (0,05) obtained rcount> rtable, where 0,819> 0,207. The value of 0,819 is in the range of 0,800-0,100 with very high criteria. The pattern of authoritarian parenting will result in the most aggressive behavior in the learner, followed by permissive parenting, and the last democratic parenting will produce the lowest aggressive behavior.
