PEMBERDAYAAN MASYARAKAT MELALUI PELATIHAN DIVERSIFIKASI PRODUK OLAHAN PEPAYA CALIFORNIA DI DESA BANGUNREJO TANGGAMUS

Bangunrejo village became the center of papaya california. Unfortunately papaya including fruits are easily damaged. At harvest time, the price of papaya-be down because the amount is abundant while the use of other than for fresh consumption does not exist. If this is allowed to continue then the farmers will lose money so that the need to immediately the solution of the use of papaya in the form of processed products. Community Service Activities was held on 29 April 2018. This activity was participated by the participants of mother of 10 members of farmer woman group which was divided into 2 groups, one group making papaya dodol and another group making papaya candy. The product is then tested for acceptance / organoleptic which includes odor, taste, color and texture. Participant partners are very enthusiastic for  following each stage of the training. Participants also get increased knowledge and skills in making diversification of processed papaya products as a solution to the abundance of papaya fruit in the village of Bangunrejo. Outcomes in this activity are: Publication of mass media Radar Metro newspaper, Publication of community service journal Sinar Sang Surya UM Metro, Poster and Module.
