ABSTRACT
Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is a new infectious disease with a risk of death. By the end of the second week of May 2020, this highly contagious disease had infected 4,178,097 people and caused 283,732 deaths. COVID-19 is transmitted from person to person through close contact and droplets. The three main preventive measures are using a mask, hand-washing with soap, and social distancing. Lack of knowledge about the prevention of transmission will increase the risk of spreading the disease. Community service aims to increase public knowledge about the prevention of transmission and spread of the COVID-19. A total of 120 households have been educated, along with the distribution of 270 masks and 400 leaflets. Banner installing and 200 stickers have also been carried out to educate the public. Community service has involved all partners at every stage of the activity. Program sustainability by involving all elements of society is needed to create a new-normal era of life.
