PELATIHAN PACKAGING DAN BRANDING DALAM RANGKA PENINGKATAN NILAI JUAL SAYUR ORGANIK DI KEBUN SAYUR ORGANIK HIJAU DAUN DI DESA KARANGREJO KOTA METRO

Perkembangan teknologi sektor industri pertanian, produsen (petani) dituntut untuk lebih berinovasi untuk menghasilkan produk yang lebih menarik konsumen atau pembeli untuk meningkatkan daya beli. Petani diharapkan tidak hanya menghasilkan produk yang berkualitas tetapi juga harus memiliki kemampuan untuk memasarkan produknya dengan strategi yang tepat, seperti packaging dan branding. Packaging dan branding dinilai dapat menjangkau konsumen yang lebih luas.Berdasarkan survei awal yang ditemui di lapangan masih banyak sayuran yang dikemas tidak menarik sehingga tidak ada pembeda antara sayur organik dengan sayur yang sudah beredar dipasaran. Seperti yang terjadi di Kebun Sayur Organik Hijau Daun Kelurahan Karangrejo Metro Utara dalam memasarkan hasil kebunnya berupa sayur organik tidak dikemas dengan menaik, serta belum memiliki branding. Sehingga mengakibatkan tingkat penjualan masih rendah. Sehingga terciptalah ide untuk melakukan pelatihan branding and packing kepada para petani di Kebun Sayur Organik Hijau Daun di Desa Karangrejo Kota Metro.
Solusi yang ditawarkan kepada mitra adalah memberikan pelatihan dan praktek secara langsung cara packaging yang baik sehingga dapat menarik konsumen secara luas. Memberikan pengetahuan mengenai penting branding  untuk sayuran organik sehingga dapat membedakan antara sayuran organik dengan non-organik. Metode yang digunakan adalah presentasi dan diskusi pelatihan dan pengaplikasian packeging  yang baik untuk produk sayur organik. Kemudian akan ada materi mengenai Strategi Pemasaran. Luaran kegiatan pengabdian berupa publikasi ilmiah pada jurnal Sang Surya LPPM UM Metro, publikasi media massa, produk.

Technological developments in the agricultural industry sector, producers (farmers) are required to innovate more to produce products that are more attractive to consumers or buyers to increase purchasing power. Farmers are expected not only to produce quality products but also to have the ability to market their products with the right strategies, such as packaging and branding. Packaging and branding are considered to be able to reach a wider range of consumers. Based on the initial survey found in the field, there are still many vegetables that are packaged unattractively so that there is no difference between organic vegetables and vegetables already circulating in the market. As happened in the Green Leaf Organic Vegetable Garden, Karangrejo Metro Utara Village, in marketing their garden products in the form of organic vegetables, they are not packaged properly, and do not have branding. As a result, the level of sales is still low. So that the idea was created to conduct branding and packing training for farmers at the Green Leaf Organic Vegetable Garden in Karangrejo Village, Metro City.
The solution offered to partners is to provide direct training and practice on good packaging methods so that they can attract consumers widely. Provide knowledge about the importance of branding for organic vegetables so that they can distinguish between organic and non-organic vegetables. The method used is presentation and discussion of training and application of good packaging for organic vegetable products. Then there will be material on Marketing Strategy.
