Abstract

This service aims to provide assistance in making aromatherapy candles from used cooking oil. Basically, cookingoil can be used for a maximum of 3 or 4 frying times. If cooking oil is used many times, the fatty acid contentbecomes more saturated and the oil will change color, which is called used cooking oil. To overcome this problem,various efforts have been made to prevent used cooking waste from becoming a serious problem in theenvironment. One alternative that can be taken is toreprocess used cooking waste into useful materials. Thisservice method is data collection, planning, implementation and evaluation. The results of the service show thatpartners are very enthusiastic in participating in assistance in making aromatherapycandles. Before theassistance was provided, almost all partners did not know that used cooking oil could be processed intoeconomically valuable materials, namely by processing it into aromatherapy candles. After being given assistancein making aromatherapy candles, 80% of the study group members understood making aromatherapy candles. Inthis activity, partners were very enthusiastic in participating in assistance in making aromatherapy candles.Before the assistance was provided, almost all partners didnot know that used cooking oil could be processedinto economically valuable materials, namely by processing it into aromatherapy candles. After being givenassistance in making aromatherapy candles, 80% of the study group members understood making aromatherapy
