Plagiarism

All manuscripts submitted to Journal Turbo will be screened using plagiarism detection software before being considered for peer review.

As a general policy, manuscripts should have an overall similarity index of less than 20%. Similarity reports exceeding this threshold may be returned to the authors for revision, subjected to further editorial evaluation, or rejected, depending on the extent and nature of the overlapping content.

The Editorial Board evaluates similarity reports carefully and does not rely solely on the overall percentage score. Particular attention is given to the source, context, and location of the matched text. Similarity arising from properly cited quotations, references, standard methodological descriptions, or common technical terms may be considered acceptable at the discretion of the editors.

Any evidence of plagiarism, including direct copying, improper paraphrasing, self-plagiarism, data plagiarism, or unattributed use of intellectual content, will be treated as a serious violation of publication ethics and may result in immediate rejection or retraction of the manuscript.

Plagiarism Threshold Policy:

  • Similarity Index < 20%: Accepted for editorial consideration, subject to peer review and editorial evaluation.
  • Similarity Index ≥ 20%: May be returned for revision, investigated further, or rejected based on the nature and extent of the overlap.
  • Evidence of intentional plagiarism: Immediate rejection and possible sanctions in accordance with the journal's publication ethics policy.
