Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih ditemukannya perilaku siswa yang belum sepenuhnya mencerminkan nilai-nilai akhlakul karimah meskipun kegiatan keagamaan telah dilaksanakan secara rutin di MTsN 4 Jeureula Aceh Besar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan jenis kegiatan keagamaan yang dilaksanakan serta menganalisis dampaknya terhadap pembinaan akhlak siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan subjek sebanyak 12 orang, terdiri atas kepala sekolah, guru Akidah Akhlak, dan siswa kelas II B. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi wawancara semi-terstruktur, observasi partisipatif, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan, serta diuji keabsahannya melalui triangulasi sumber dan metode. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan keagamaan seperti pembacaan Surah Yasin, shalat berjamaah, pengajian bulanan, serta pembiasaan disiplin dan adab secara konsisten memberikan dampak positif terhadap pembinaan akhlak siswa, terutama dalam aspek kedisiplinan, sopan santun, dan kesadaran beribadah. Dengan demikian, optimalisasi kegiatan keagamaan berperan penting dalam membentuk karakter siswa yang berakhlakul karimah.

This study aims to analyze the role of Akidah Akhlak teachers in shaping students' character based on Islamic teachings at MTsN 4 Jeureula, Aceh Besar. The background of this study departs from the phenomenon of weakening students' moral and ethical values ​​amidst the rapid development of digital technology. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design because it is considered most appropriate for understanding the meaning, experience, and practice of character formation contextually. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, participant observation, and documentation, with participants consisting of the madrasah principal, Akidah Akhlak teachers, and 10 students selected by purposive sampling. The results show that the role of Akidah Akhlak teachers is realized through four main strategies, namely role models, habituation of Islamic values, spiritual guidance, and collaboration between schools, teachers, and parents. The main supporting factor comes from the madrasah's religious culture, while obstacles are found from the influence of social media and the environment outside the school. This study concludes that teacher role models and institutional synergy are the keys to the success of Islamic character formation in madrasahs.
