Abstract

In modern society, characterized by rapid technological development, globalization, and dynamic social change, various moral and social challenges have increasingly emerged. Phenomena such as declining social concern, rising individualism, and weakening moral values indicate significant challenges in maintaining a balance between social development and the formation of individual character. In this context, religion and religiosity are considered important factors in shaping individual values, life orientation, and social behavior. However, studies examining how religiosity influences the formation of life values, social behavior, and moral attitudes still require more comprehensive analysis through systematic academic review. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the role of religion and religiosity in shaping individual values and life orientation, examine the influence of religiosity on social behavior in society, and identify how the internalization of religious values affects moral attitudes and social interactions. This study employs a qualitative approach using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method by analyzing relevant books and scientific journal articles published within the last ten years. The collected data were analyzed thematically to identify major patterns related to the role of religiosity in individual and social life. The findings indicate that religiosity plays a significant role in shaping value systems, strengthening individuals’ moral identity, and encouraging the development of prosocial behaviors such as empathy, altruism, and social solidarity within society.
