Author Guidelines
Author Guidelines
Thank you for considering Muhammadiyah Law Review as the publication venue for your scholarly work. Authors are requested to carefully read and follow these guidelines before submitting their manuscripts. Manuscripts that do not comply with these guidelines may be returned for revision prior to the peer-review process.
1. General Requirements
Muhammadiyah Law Review accepts original manuscripts in the form of:

Research Articles;

Conceptual or Theoretical Articles;
-
Case Studies; and
-
Critical Reviews related to legal issues.
Submitted manuscripts must:
-
Be original and have not been published or submitted simultaneously to another journal.
-
Be relevant to the journal's Focus and Scope.
-
Be written in English or Bahasa Indonesia.
-
Follow the journal's manuscript template.
-
Be submitted through the Open Journal Systems (OJS).
2. Manuscript Structure
A manuscript should be organized as follows:

Abstract (150–250 words)

Keywords (3–5 keywords)

Results and Discussion

3. Title
The title should:
-
Clearly reflect the content of the manuscript.
-
Be concise and informative.
-
Contain no more than 20 words.
4. Abstract and Keywords
The abstract should briefly describe:
-
Background;
-
Research objectives;
-
Research methods;
-
Main findings; and
-
Conclusions.
Provide 3–5 keywords that accurately represent the manuscript.
5. Manuscript Formatting
Authors should prepare manuscripts according to the journal template with the following general specifications:

Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)
-
A4 paper size
-
Times New Roman
-
Font size 12 pt
-
Single spacing
-
Standard margins
-
Continuous page numbering
Authors are encouraged to use the official template provided by the journal.
6. Citation and References
Muhammadiyah Law Review uses the APA Style (7th Edition) for citations and references.
Authors are encouraged to use reference management software such as:

Mendeley;
-
Zotero; or
-
EndNote.
References should primarily consist of recent scholarly publications, including journal articles, books, legislation, court decisions, and other authoritative legal sources relevant to the research topic.
7. Ethical Requirements
Authors must ensure that:

The manuscript is free from plagiarism.
-
All cited works are properly acknowledged.
-
Data presented are authentic and accurate.
-
Any conflicts of interest are disclosed.
-
Research involving human participants complies with applicable ethical standards.
8. Peer Review Process
All submitted manuscripts undergo:

Initial editorial screening;
-
Plagiarism screening;
-
Double-blind peer review by at least two reviewers;
-
Editorial decision; and
-
Final editing prior to publication.
Authors may be requested to revise their manuscripts based on reviewers' comments.
9. Article Processing Charges
Muhammadiyah Law Review applies the following publication policy:

Article Submission Fee: Free
-
Article Processing Charge (APC): IDR 300,000 (only for accepted manuscripts)
The publication fee covers DOI registration, copyediting, layout editing, proofreading, and article publication.
10. Copyright
Authors retain the copyright of their work while granting Muhammadiyah Law Review the right to publish and disseminate the article under the journal's Open Access Policy.
11. Submission Procedure
Authors should submit manuscripts through the journal's Online Journal System (OJS) by:

Registering as an Author.

Completing the online submission form.

Uploading the manuscript and supporting files.

Confirming the submission.
Authors may monitor the editorial process through their OJS account.
