PENUMBUHAN KARAKTER CINTA LINGKUNGAN HIDUP MELALUI KEGIATAN KEGIATAN DI ORGANISASI ANAK CINTA LINGKUNGAN KABUPATEN ENDE NTT
Abstract
The issue in this study is related to the environment problems. This study has conducted among Anak Cinta Linkungan Hidup (ACIL). ACIL is the organisation of education to the kids about environmental awareness through several activities in that area. This study used descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection has conducted through interview, observation and documentation. The findings show that the character of environmental awareness from the kids have grown through the activities at ACIL and simultaneously it arouse the interest of the kids towards environmental awareness for future betterment. The strategy to arouse the interest of environmental awareness are; (1) Knowledge transfer through counselling; (2) activities on natural conservation and environmental issues exposures; (3) regular activities such as spontaneous activities, exemplary behaviour and sharing session. Therefore, ACIL could be one of the platforms, good and dynamic system for the young generations to develop ‘knowing the good’, ‘feeling the good’ and ‘acting the good’ towards environmental awareness.
