HUBUNGAN PERSEPSI MANAJEMEN KEPALA SEKOLAH DAN MOTIVASI KERJA DENGAN KINERJA GURU SEKOLAH MENENGAH PERTAMA DI KECAMATAN PASIR SAKTI KABUPATEN LAMPUNG TIMUR

Abstract


Teacher performance is something that is achieved through the performance shown as well as the ability of a teacher's work in carrying out his teaching work. Increased effectiveness of learning is influenced by the factors of supervision of the principal's classroom and teacher's motivation to teach. The purpose of this study is to find out (1) The correlation between school principals' perceptions and teacher performance, (2) Work motivation and teacher performance, and (3) Correlation between Principal management perception and work motivation simultaneously with performance of Junior High School teacher .

Population of the study is 140 teachers. Using Slovin formula, there were 58 teachers. While the sample determination steps were chosen randomly. The results of the analysis obtained in this study are as follows: (1) There is a positive influence between the perception of principal's management and teacher performance, this is explained by the regression equation Ŷ = 34,111 + 0,591 X1 so it can be interpreted that any change in the perceptual scores of principal’s management score of 14,70%, (2) There is a positive influence between work motivation and teacher performance, this is envisaged by the regression equation Ŷ = 42,799 + 0,281 X2 so it can be interpreted that any change of motivation score of work will result the increase of teacher performance score by 10,10%, and (3) There is a positive influence between principal management perception and work motivation together with teacher performance, this is explained by regression equation Ŷ = 24,351 + 0,218 X1 +0,509 X2, so it can indicated that the better the perception of principal's management and work motivation will be the same and well also its contribution to the improvement of teacher performance with a signification value of 20,50%.
