PENGARUH PROJECT BASED LEARNING BERBANTUAN VIDEO PEMBELAJARAN TERHADAP PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS SISWA KELAS V DI SD INPRES DONGIN PADA MATA PELAJARAN IPA

Abstract


This research aims to investigate the influence of using project-based learning (PBL) assisted by instructional videos on the problem-solving skills of fifth-grade elementary school students in the subject of Natural Sciences. A quasi-experimental research method was employed, involving students from a specific elementary school in a particular region. The sample was selected using a cluster random sampling method and divided into two groups: an experimental group and a control group, each consisting of thirty students. Throughout the study, the experimental group participated in learning using the PBL approach assisted by instructional videos, while the control group received conventional learning. Data were collected through pretests and posttests related to students' problem-solving skills. Data analysis was conducted by comparing the pretest and posttest score differences between the two groups. The results of this research are expected to provide a better understanding of the impact of using the PBL approach assisted by instructional videos on the problem-solving skills of fifth-grade elementary school students in the subject of Natural Sciences. These findings may contribute to the development of more effective and interactive teaching methods to advance students' problem-solving skills in the context of natural science.
