Kepemimpinan Visioner Kepala Madrasah dalam Meningkatkan Mutu Pendidikan di MTs Darul Ulum Banmaleng Giligenting Sumenep

Peningkatan mutu pendidikan memerlukan kepemimpinan visioner kepala madrasah yang mampu mengarahkan lembaga menuju tujuan yang jelas. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini penting untuk mengkaji kepemimpinan visioner kepala madrasah dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di MTs Darul Ulum Banmaleng. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kepemimpinan visioner kepala madrasah dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di MTs Darul Ulum Banmaleng, meliputi visi dan misi, strategi peningkatan mutu, serta dampaknya terhadap output pendidikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam (in-depth interview), observasi partisipatif, dan studi dokumentasi. Informan kunci terdiri dari kepala madrasah, wakil kepala, guru senior, tenaga kependidikan, komite madrasah, dan wali murid. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala MTs Darul Ulum memiliki visi yang jelas dan terstruktur dalam pengembangan madrasah, menerapkan strategi peningkatan mutu berbasis Standar Nasional Pendidikan (SNP), membangun budaya akademik yang kondusif, serta meningkatkan profesionalisme guru melalui program pembinaan berkelanjutan. Secara yuridis, seluruh program yang dijalankan merujuk pada regulasi pendidikan nasional yang berlaku. Temuan lapangan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada angka kelulusan, prestasi akademik, dan kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap madrasah. Implikasi penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan kepemimpinan visioner kepala madrasah dapat menjadi model strategis dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan dan memperkuat daya saing lembaga pendidikan Islam secara berkelanjutan.
Improving the quality of education requires visionary leadership from madrasa principals who are capable of guiding institutions toward clear goals. Therefore, this study is important to examine the visionary leadership of the principal in improving the quality of education at MTs Darul Ulum Banmaleng. This study aims to analyze the visionary leadership of the madrasa principal in improving educational quality, including the principal’s vision and mission, quality improvement strategies, and their impact on educational outcomes. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation studies. Key informants included the principal, vice principals, senior teachers, educational staff, the madrasa committee, and parents. The findings reveal that the principal of MTs Darul Ulum possesses a clear and well-structured vision for institutional development, implements quality improvement strategies based on the National Education Standards (SNP), fosters a conducive academic culture, and enhances teacher professionalism through continuous professional development programs. Juridically, all implemented programs are aligned with applicable national education regulations. Field findings indicate significant improvements in graduation rates, academic achievement, and public trust in the madrasa. The implications of this study suggest that the implementation of visionary leadership by madrasa principals can serve as a strategic model for improving educational quality and strengthening the competitiveness of Islamic educational institutions in a sustainable manner.
