Focus and Scope

SWARNADWIPA: Jurnal Kajian Sejarah, Sosial, Budaya, dan Pembelajarannya is a source of intellectual inspiration that presents an in-depth analysis of historical diversity, social dynamics, cultural richness, and learning innovation. This journal is a forum for exploring the archipelago's cultural heritage, exploring contemporary issues, and embracing the latest learning approaches. In the spirit of enlightenment, SWARNADWIPA invites contributions in the form of innovative research and brilliant ideas that enrich our insight into the past, understand social realities, maintain local wisdom, and develop effective learning methods. Manuscripts in the form of conceptual thinking, ideas, innovation, creativity, best practices, book reviews and research. 

The focus and scope of this journal are:
Deep History: This journal explores history with an in-depth approach to unearth valuable pieces of the past that influenced the development of society and culture.

Social Dynamics: Involves careful analysis of changes and evolution in social structures, making this journal an ideal platform for an in-depth understanding of societal development.

Cultural Diversity: Highlighting cultural diversity as a critical element in the formation of collective identity, this journal opens the door to discussions of cultural traditions, norms, and values.

Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to SWARNADWIPA: Jurnal Kajian Sejarah, Sosial, Budaya, dan Pembelajarannya must follow Focus and Scope and Author Guidelines of this journal. The submitted manuscripts must fulfil scientific merit or novelty appropriate to the focus and scope of this journal.

All manuscrips submitted to this journal must be written in good English. Authors for whom English is not their native language are encouraged to have their paper checked before submission for grammar and clarity. The work must not have been published or submitted for publication elsewhere.

All submitted manuscripts must be free from plagiarism contents. All authors are suggested to use plagiarism detection softaware to do the similarity checking (please use Turnitin or iThenticate to check the similarity). Editors will also check the similarity of manuscripts in this journal by using a Turnitin or iThenticate software.
The submitted manuscripts to this journal will be peer-reviewed at least 2 (two) or more expert reviewers from Peer-Reviewers Team. The reviewers give scientific valuable comments improving the contents of the manuscript. Sometimes (if required) a third peer-reviewer is needed to give critical comments to the submitted manuscript. The review process used in this journal is double blind review system.
Final decision of manuscript acceptance is solely made by Editor in Chief (together with Editorial Board if required for consideration) according to reviewers critical comments. The final decision of manuscript is solely based on the Editor and Editorial Board final review which considering peer-reviewers comments (but not solely by Reviewer).

Publication of accepted articles including the assigning the article to published issue will be made by Editor in Chief by considering sequence of accepted date and geographical distribution of authors as well as thematic issue.
Based on the review editor will first make editorial decisions. There are five possible editorial decisions (1) the manuscript is accepted, (2) be amended, (3) re-submit, (4) is sent to another publisher, or (5) is rejected.

Typically, the time frame of delivery to the first editor of the average results of 4-6 weeks. The time to reach a final decision depends on the number of reviews rotation, perceptive writer etc. Typically, the time frame of delivery by an average of 2-3 months a final decision.

The total turnaround time for publishing a manuscript depends (additionally to the factors mentioned above) on the submission date, the journal's publication schedule, authors' adherence to the publication guidelines etc. Reviewed and accepted submissions are published by SWARNADWIPA: Jurnal Kajian Sejarah, Sosial, Budaya, dan Pembelajarannya 2-3 months on average.


Publication Frequency

SWARNADWIPA: Jurnal Kajian Sejarah, Sosial, Budaya, dan Pembelajarannya is published twice a year in May and November.


Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

All articles published Open Access will be immediately and permanently free for everyone to read and download. We are continuously working with our author communities to select the best choice of license options: Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY).

Authors and readers can copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format, as well as remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially, but they must give appropriate credit (cite to the article or content), provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. If you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you must distribute your contributions under the same license as the original.

The Authors submitting a manuscript do so on the understanding that if accepted for publication, copyright of the article shall be assigned to SWARNADWIPA: Jurnal Kajian Sejarah, Sosial, Budaya, dan Pembelajarannya and Scientific Publication Unit Universitas Muhammadiyah Metro as publisher of the journal.



This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...

Fast-Track Review and Publication: 200.000.00 (IDR), It should be noted that this fasttrack route still adheres to the publication ethics of this journal so that it maintains high scientific standards and maintains integrity in published research.

Article Publication Reguler: 000.000.00 (IDR).

This APC is used for the reviewer, DOI, proofreading, XML, galley and editing processes. If this paper is accepted for publication, you will be asked to pay an Article Publication Fee to cover publication costs. If you do not have funds to pay such fees, you will have an opportunity to waive each fee. We do not want fees to prevent the publication of worthy work.
