PERSEPSI GURU TENTANG KOMPETENSI KEPEMIMPINAN KEPALA SEKOLAH DI MADRASAH IBTIDAIYAH MUHAMMADIYAH PEKALONGAN KABUPATEN LAMPUNG TIMUR

Abstract


Schools as educational institutions that are fused between various elements of the members so that they need a clear and purposeful organizational concept. The principal is the person who leads the school, is authorized and responsible for all school activities both learning activities or other activities related to efforts to advance and develop the school. Therefore, in terms of the leadership of the principal, the teacher needs to be involved in the assessment of the principal based on each perception. Therefore, teachers 'perceptions of principals' leadership competencies are important and can be used as a reference for evaluating self-improvement for the common goal. The focus of the research in this study is (1) What is the teacher's perception of the leadership competency of the principal in the Muhammadiyah Pekalongan Islamic Elementary School in East Lampung Regency? (2) What is the impact of the principal's leadership on teacher performance? (3) What are the teacher's expectations regarding the leadership of the principal of the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Muhammadiyah Pekalongan, East Lampung Regency? This research was conducted at MI Muhammadiyah Pekalongan. The approach in this study is qualitative. While this type of research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques in this study using interview methods and documentation. Check the validity of the findings using triangulation techniques. Data analysis consists of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing.   The results showed that teachers' perceptions of the leadership competency of MI Muhammadiyah principals were quite good. This is marked by the planning of various actions such as implementation to realize the school's vision and mission, management of resources according to needs, supervision, implementation of evaluations, partnerships, and community participation in school program planning and discipline, responsibility of teachers and school staff.
