Community engagement and educational research must respect human dignity, participant rights, cultural values, and applicable regulations.
Authors are responsible for obtaining necessary institutional permissions, community agreements, and ethical approvals where required.
Research or community interventions involving children, vulnerable populations, sensitive personal data, or significant potential risks require particular safeguards.
Authors should explain relevant ethical procedures, including:
- Informed consent.
- Institutional authorization.
- Confidentiality measures.
- Participant protection.
- Risk mitigation.
- Ethical approval, when applicable.
Consent to participate in an intervention does not automatically imply consent to publish identifiable personal information or photographs.
Authors must obtain appropriate publication authorization where required.
