Reviewer Selection

Reviewers should be selected based on:

  1. Subject expertise.
  2. Methodological competence.
  3. Relevant scholarly experience.
  4. Independence from the authors.
  5. Ability to provide constructive evaluations.
  6. Availability within the requested review period.
  7. Absence of material conflicts of interest.

Where appropriate, reviewers may come from different institutions or disciplinary backgrounds.

Editors should avoid assigning reviewers with relationships that could compromise impartial evaluation.

Reviewer appointments must not be exchanged for favorable editorial decisions.
