Whistleblowing
Concerns may be raised by authors, reviewers, readers, participants, institutional representatives, or other individuals possessing relevant information.
Reports should identify the matter of concern and provide supporting evidence where available.
The journal should protect the confidentiality of individuals reporting concerns to the extent reasonably possible.
Good-faith reports must not be dismissed solely because the reporter wishes to remain anonymous.
However, anonymous allegations must still contain sufficient information to permit meaningful assessment.
Malicious or knowingly false allegations are unacceptable.
