Post-publication Discussion
1. SUBMITTING A SCHOLARLY COMMENT
Comments concerning articles published in At-Tajdid: Jurnal Pendidikan dan Pemikiran Islam should be submitted to the editorial office. Submissions must include the article title and DOI, the specific matter being raised, supporting arguments or evidence, relevant references, and a declaration of any competing interests. Comments should be sufficiently concise to enable a focused assessment.
Discussion must address the scholarly work rather than personal characteristics. Contributors should clearly differentiate between substantiated errors, unresolved questions, and alternative interpretations. Unnecessary confidential information or details that could identify research participants must be excluded.
2. EDITORIAL ASSESSMENT AND AUTHOR RESPONSE
Editors evaluate comments according to their relevance, clarity, supporting evidence, and contribution to understanding the article. Authors may be invited to reply, and independent expert advice may be obtained when necessary.
An invitation to respond does not give authors authority to prevent the consideration of valid criticism. Likewise, disagreement with an article does not, on its own, warrant publication of a comment.
Relevant concerns expressed on external scholarly platforms may also be considered when brought to the journal’s attention. Individuals reporting credible concerns about research or publication integrity are not required to have a commentary published before those concerns can be assessed.
3. PUBLICATION AND REVIEW STATUS
When comments and responses are accepted for publication, they are clearly labelled and linked to the relevant article. Correspondence evaluated through editorial assessment is not represented as having undergone the journal’s standard external peer review process.
Submissions presented as new research articles must follow the journal’s standard Review Model. Submission does not confer an automatic entitlement to publication, and no fixed publication timeframe is guaranteed.
The correspondence procedures of At-Tajdid: Jurnal Pendidikan dan Pemikiran Islam do not limit lawful public criticism or the reuse of material licensed under CC BY 4.0 outside the journal.
